BECOME A FLLA BOARD MEMEBER!

FLLA is looking for two new members to join our Board of Directors beginning in January 2027.



The FLLA Board is made up of lake resident neighbors who volunteer their time because we care about Forest Lake and want to help protect, improve, and enjoy this amazing community asset — the three shining basins of Forest Lake.



WE CURRENTLY HAVE TWO OPENINGS:

TREASURER / FINANCE

Our current Treasurer, Geneva Kubal, is retiring from the Board at the end of this year. Mike Schoonveld has agreed to cover the Treasurer responsibilities and help train/transition a new Treasurer during the first six months of 2027.

We’re looking for someone who:



• Has experience in finance, accounting, or small business

• Is comfortable working with QuickBooks Online and tracking financial activity

• Can write checks to vendors and track incoming membership payments and donations

• Can provide a financial report at our 10 Board meetings each year

• Is willing to work with Up-to-Date Bookkeeping, which already assists with some financial tasks and helps reduce the Treasurer’s workload

• Can help oversee payments received through the FLLA website using Wix

EVENTS & MEMBERSHIP

We are also looking for someone who would like to become more involved in event coordination and membership drives. This person would help with some of our annual events and activities, while also helping us continue to grow FLLA membership and participation among lake residents.
